Terrace Design in Seville

The project developed for the Club Labradores de Sevilla aimed to create a new dining and gathering terrace capable of blending naturally into one of the city’s most iconic settings: the banks of the Guadalquivir River. From the outset, the proposal was conceived as an intervention where architecture, landscaping and furniture would engage in dialogue with the surroundings, enhancing the exceptional views and the landscape identity of the site. The work focused particularly on the study of the spatial layout and the selection of each element that makes up the terrace. A flexible layout was designed, supporting both social use and the dining experience, creating different atmospheres and pathways that allow the space to be enjoyed comfortably and naturally. The strategic placement of the seating, dining and circulation areas optimizes the visual relationship with the river and ensures an experience fully open to the landscape. The choice of materials, finishes and furniture responded to the desire to create an elegant, contemporary and fully integrated atmosphere in keeping with the character of Seville. Light tones, natural textures and plant elements were carefully chosen to establish a direct connection with the light, the riverside vegetation and the urban setting that defines the Guadalquivir. The addition of planters, plant species and shaded elements further improves environmental comfort and reinforces the sense of continuity between the built space and the surrounding landscape. The final result is a terrace that goes beyond its function as a dining space to become a natural extension of its surroundings. The intervention achieves a true symbiosis between the Guadalquivir River, the Seville landscape and contemporary architecture, offering the Club Labradores a unique, functional and highly valuable space in aesthetic terms. Through a careful combination of layout, furniture, greenery and materials, the project creates a unique experience that highlights both the privileged location of the site and the cultural and landscape identity of Seville.
