Residential Building Renovation in Algeciras

Located in the heart of Algeciras, this building had remained abandoned for years, becoming an underused structure in one of the city’s most strategic areas. Thanks to the intervention of BPG Capital, the property was rescued and underwent a thorough restoration and full renovation process. The project made it possible to recover the existing structure and completely transform it, giving rise to a modern residential complex designed to meet today’s needs for comfort, functionality and quality of life. The intervention involved a complete renovation of the building, incorporating new contemporary, efficient and comfortable homes, while preserving the complex’s original architectural essence. For its part, Egoist Unique was responsible for the conceptual and aesthetic design of the common areas, developing a comprehensive proposal that includes the interior courtyards, the communal terraces, the storage area, the main façade and the building’s entrance, as well as the selection and proposal of materials for the interiors of the homes. Starting from a respect for the existing structure, spaces were designed that combine architecture, landscaping and lighting to create a harmonious, welcoming atmosphere. The old, deteriorated courtyards were transformed into lush communal areas full of greenery, decorative elements and seating areas that invite residents to enjoy the building beyond their own homes. The result is a transformation that goes far beyond a simple renovation: a building that has recovered its architectural and urban value, once again becoming a residential landmark in the center of Algeciras.
