Hotel Alborán

Hotel Signage and Corridor Design

This project stemmed from the need to improve guest orientation and refresh the image of a hotel’s circulation areas, transforming functional but characterless corridors into spaces capable of conveying quality, comfort and a coherent experience with the rest of the establishment. The intervention aimed to address both functional aspects related to signage and aesthetic issues linked to the guest’s perception during their journey through the hotel. The work focused on the complete redesign of the signage system, incorporating new wayfinding elements with a more elegant, legible image fully integrated into the interior architecture. The choice of noble materials, metallic finishes and clear typography improves the identification of rooms and common areas, easing circulation and reinforcing the hotel’s visual identity. At the same time, the atmosphere of the corridors was renewed through a new indirect lighting scheme, cladding and decorative details that add greater warmth and sophistication. The addition of linear lighting, designer fixtures and wood finishes creates a warm, contemporary atmosphere, elevating the perception of quality from the very moment guests step onto their floor. The result is a completely renovated circulation space, where functionality and design work together to enhance the guest experience. The new signage optimizes orientation within the building, while the aesthetic upgrade turns the corridors into an active part of the hotel’s identity, offering a more polished, elegant and cohesive image in line with current hospitality standards.
