Bathroom Renovation
BEFORE THE INTERVENTION
This bathroom followed a layout typical of another era, where functionality was constrained by bulky elements and an inefficient arrangement. The bathtub took up a large part of the room, reducing the sense of spaciousness and limiting the room’s everyday use. The finishes, although well preserved, gave the space an outdated look that failed to make the most of its potential. In addition, the lack of integrated storage solutions forced the use of auxiliary elements that added to the visual clutter. The lighting, choice of materials and layout did not favor a comfortable atmosphere, turning the bathroom into a purely functional space, far from offering the sense of wellbeing that today’s homes demand.
AFTER THE INTERVENTION
The renovation was approached with a clear goal: to transform the bathroom into a spacious, bright space designed for everyday comfort, optimizing every available centimeter without altering its footprint. Replacing the bathtub with a spacious walk-in shower freed up visual space, improved accessibility and brought greater continuity to the room. The new wall-mounted vanity unit, designed with generous storage capacity, organizes the space efficiently while reinforcing a sense of lightness. The natural wood finishes add warmth and contrast with the marble-inspired porcelain cladding, creating an elegant, timeless composition. The hexagonal tiling in the shower area introduces texture and depth, differentiating zones without breaking the harmony of the whole. The brushed bronze fixtures, the large circular mirror and the metal trim work together to elevate the space’s aesthetic quality, while the neutral color palette enhances brightness and the perception of spaciousness. The result is a fully renovated bathroom, where functionality, storage and design come together to offer a serene, sophisticated atmosphere designed for everyday rest and wellbeing.
