BEFORE THE INTERVENTION
The venue had a solid foundation, both in its layout and in many of its existing structural and furniture elements. However, time had eroded its identity, leaving a space without a language of its own and with an image that failed to convey the quality of the dining experience the restaurant wanted to offer. The lighting, the finishes and the interior composition were not creating a warm, distinctive atmosphere.
The challenge of the project was to completely renew the perception of the space without resorting to a full renovation. The premise was clear from the start: preserve around 80% of the existing elements, reinterpreting them through design to optimize resources, reduce the impact of the intervention and prove that a deep transformation can also be built through smart reuse.
AFTER THE INTERVENTION
The proposal is based on an intervention that respects the essence of the venue, where design acts as a tool for transformation rather than replacement. Through updated finishes, the introduction of new materials and a carefully considered lighting strategy, the existing elements take on a new presence and become part of a completely renewed identity.
Wood, greenery and dark tones create a warm, enveloping atmosphere, while indirect lighting emphasizes the interior architecture and adds depth to the whole. The bar becomes the true heart of the restaurant, accompanied by new cladding, bespoke furniture and a balanced composition that supports both the functionality of service and the comfort of guests.
Every decision responds to a balance between sustainability, aesthetics and efficiency, proving that reusing does not mean giving up on design. The result is a restaurant with its own personality, elegant and contemporary, where every corner has been thoughtfully designed to offer a warm, memorable experience, maximizing the value of what already existed and adapting it to the business’s current needs.
